Fast connections when time is short

A record number of executives attended the TransferRoom Winter Virtual Deal Day for a series of transfer negotiations with their counterparts from over 45 countries worldwide.

The event came halfway through the January Transfer Window, allowing club decision makers and football agents to hold weeks' worth of one-to-one meetings on a single afternoon, saving valuable time and money during a pivotal period for deals in the season. In excess of 1,800 meetings were held in total.

"TransferRoom is one of the best tools available during the transfer market," says Kristofer Wennin, the Sporting Director of Colombian club CD Real Cartagena. "Easy, precise, and straight to the point."

The Deal Day allowed attendees to go directly to other decision makers from a network of more than 650 clubs across the globe with up to 20, 12-minute meetings for each guest.

That's long enough to get vital information on a player's availability and character, as Sparta Rotterdam can testify following their signing of Tobias Lauritsen from Odds BK in 2022.

TransferRoom cuts out the need for third parties to facilitate the deal, giving members and event attendees instant access to club executives and transfer market knowledge.

Igor Krlic, Head of Football Operations at HNK Gorica, a Croatian top-flight club which did a trio of deals in their first transfer window on the platform, said: "TransferRoom's events are great. The easiest way to connect with important people in the football world. It gives me a chance to present our club to a lot of people and to attract their business in just 12 minutes."

"I think it's an invaluable tool for connecting to other executives in the industry, to network and to generate deals," Rene Saggiadi, the Head of Scouting Operations at Turkish club Goztepe, recently bought by multi-club ownership group Sport Republic.

Setting up January business for agents

The Virtual Deal Day also included a range of agencies in attendance. TransferRoom has been open to Trusted Agents since 2021, with all members verified as the representative of all their players on the platform.

Vladan Filipovic, Owner of an agency sharing his name, said: "This was my first time participating in a Virtual event. I am very satisfied and I am sure that the meetings I had and the contacts I made will bring results in the coming period."

Agents, too, have found TransferRoom events the perfect format to widen their networks, learn about clubs' requirements and ultimately get deals done. Indeed, French firm Classico Sports secured transfers for two of its clients (to England and Cyprus) following connections made.
