What is PlayerMarket?

In a recent TransferRoom poll, 67% of agents told us that their top priority for the Summer Window is to recruit more players.

The good news is that players are out there actively looking for agents like you. Around a quarter of players who use an agent will switch agents in a year. And about a third of players don’t use an agent at all, many of which might be open to doing so.

Agents who sign up to PlayerMarket will be able to see players looking for an agent in the market(s) they choose to access.

What can you do if you use PlayerMarket?

PlayerMarket provides you with access to players in two ways.

1. Receive inbound representation requests from players

You’ll get notified of these as a Message within the TransferRoom platform. We’ll also let you know via email.

2. Proactively search for players who are looking for an agent and contact them.

Use the "looking for an agent" filter within the Search screen. You can then reach out to players and introduce your agency.

How can agents access PlayerMarket?

PlayerMarket is not included as part of your existing TransferRoom subscription. It is an optional add-on feature. 

The cost is based on the market(s) you are interested in accessing. Please speak to your Customer Success representative for more information.

Which players can access TransferRoom?

We know that agents only want to work with professional players. That’s why we manually verify every player that tries to register and match them to our database of professional players.

Players also need to be 18 or over to register.

How many players looking for an agent are on the platform?

We’re running an extensive marketing plan to drive players to the platform who we think are actively looking for an agent. This includes activity across social media, email, PR, referral programmes and much more.

There are hundreds of players actively looking for agents on the platform and this will grow substantially over the coming months.

What will an agency's existing players see on TransferRoom?

This feature is designed to help agents build your business by giving you access to more potential player clients.

Any player that is already connected to a Trusted Agent and verified by you will not be able to mark themselves as looking for an agent or be visible to other agents on the platform. They can still log in to TransferRoom as usual and see their activity feed (a real-time view of their transfer options if you’ve activated the Player Loyalty Booster feature), player stats and xTV.

If one of your non-verified players logs in, they’ll be prompted to ask you to verify them as a player. If they're verified, they won't be visible in the PlayerMarket to other agents. We’d always recommend you verify all suitable players, as verified players get 5x more transfer interest on the platform compared to non-verified players.

Why is TransferRoom launching features for players?

Our vision is, and always has been, to break down barriers in the transfer market to create opportunities everywhere. We’ve been successful at doing this for clubs and agents. We’re now rolling out features for players to help build better connections between players and agents, creating more opportunities for all parties involved in football transfers.
