Raquel Rosa, CEO of RRiFootball agency, reflects on overcoming early adversity and explains how she has turned resilience into successful player pathways, and why TransferRoom's helping her grow her international footprint.
I think TransferRoom is also like a mirror for our work right now that’s very international, technical, very AI, it’s a new world, a new modern world.
A global network at your fingertips
“Medical staff said I wouldn’t go to a normal school. I would not learn languages. I wouldn’t make it to university.”
For Raquel Rosa, those early messages of limitation due to her hearing loss from an early age became the foundation of an extraordinary career.
Today, she speaks six languages, holds two master’s degrees and leads Raquel Rosa International Football, a top agency representing players across multiple markets. She is also a Trusted Agent on TransferRoom, giving her access to the decision-makers at over 800 clubs worldwide.
“I learned six languages. I have two master’s, so everything is possible, and I think that’s why I feel very connected to the player,” Rosa explains in our exclusive interview below on our YouTube channel . “I can have this empathy and we work to get him to his goal, to his dream.”
That empathy shapes her approach to representation. With 19 years in professional football, Rosa (pictured below, centre) is clear that talent alone is never enough. “To be a football player is not easy. You have to work very hard,” she says. “If you don’t have the right mindset and the right people around you, it will be very tough to have a very good career.”
The players she represents, including LOSC Lille's Romain Perraud, Al-Sadd SC's Mohamed Camara and Deportivo Alaves' Moussa Diarra, and the Head Coach she represents, Nigeria national team's Eric Chelle, have displayed that mindset.

TransferRoom, world football's transfer marketplace, has become a key part of delivering that support.
Rosa, who had already built an impressive network, particularly in Europe's big five leagues, through her work with academies and clubs, has now been able to make new contacts in leagues where she has less of a footprint through TransferRoom, all while saving time, money and travel.
“With the new markets opening with TransferRoom, it’s much easier to get the connection to them,” she says.
That impact is felt most clearly at TransferRoom Live events, and she saw that first-hand at TransferRoom Live in Lisbon, November 2025.
Exclusively for decision-makers from clubs and agencies, the two-day Lisbon event consisted of a packed schedule of 15-minute one-to-one meetings, where executives could negotiate and connect directly.
Also, attendees benefit from market insights in on-stage discussions and exclusive networking opportunities throughout. Agents like Rosa can save time, money and travel on building their global network and get months of business done in two days.
“Here you just have 15 minutes. In these 15 minutes, if you have the right questions, you can figure out many things,” Rosa explains. “You know where you want to go, and you have directly yes or no, and you can move to the next.”
For Rosa, TransferRoom's online platform, where clubs and agents can connect directly and get real-time market intelligence including comprehensive data insights, player availability and club requirements.
“I think TransferRoom is also like a mirror for our work right now that’s very international, technical, very AI, it’s a new world, a new modern world," she says.
