If you don't pass the exam, you will have to wait until 2026 for the earliest opportunity to re-sit it. In 2025, FIFA changed their exam structure, so that it's an online-only exam and it only takes place once a year.

Only 40% of agents passed the agent exam in 2024. So how can you best prepare to change that?

We hosted a live video Q&A with one of the leading experts on the agent regulations in football and a man who has passed the agent examination himself, Dr Serhat Yilmaz, in collaboration with Loughborough University and Johan Cruyff Institute.

As Lecturer in Sports Law at Loughborough University, Dr. Yilmaz has designed and developed a be-spoke training course on the FIFA Football Agent Examination, which is currently studied by agents worldwide to get ready for the exam, running in collaboration with Johan Cruyff Institute.

About Dr. Serhat Yilmaz

Dr Serhat Yilmaz is a Lecturer in Sports Law in the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences (SSEHS) at Loughborough University. He passed the FIFA Football Agent Exam in April 2023. Serhat is the academic director of sports agents education at Loughborough University, which includes specialist programmes and courses for the agent industry, offered in collaboration with Johan Cruyff Institute. He is also the founder of Sports Agents Hub, a bespoke e-learning and training platform for agents.
