Laurent Burkart, the CEO of B360 Sports, a TransferRoom Trusted Agency, explains how they consistently get results from the TransferRoom Summits and online platform, in the way of transfers for their players.
We are a young agency, so we are working our way up and we need to be smart. We need to be fast. We need to have a good network and grow together with our players as fast as possible, and therefore TransferRoom is a good help.
Finding the best level for your players
To hold 23 one-to-one meetings with club decision-makers and to network with 100s of additional clubs, an agent would traditionally have had to spend months travelling the world.
It not only means a big additional spend on travel, but precious time spent in the air or on the road when they could be getting business done.
But Laurent Burkart, the CEO of German agency B360 Sports, was able to do all that without sacrificing the crucial in-person interaction in two days. All in one event at one place.
That was at the March 2024 TransferRoom Summit in Rome.
The TransferRoom Summit is world football’s biggest gathering of decision-makers, with a series of 15-minute one-to-one meetings in which clubs and agencies talk directly and get straight to transfer business, and Burkart's B360 Sports were one of a selection of TransferRoom Trusted Agencies in attendance.
Burkart was one of 640 attendees, including over 300 clubs from more than 50 countries, meaning he could build his network and open up new markets for his agency.
“We already did a handful of deals through TransferRoom and the connections we made on the platform and offline,” Burkart said in the video below. “I’m a first-day fan on the platform, so to say.
“On all live events, we always did a deal, at least one. It's a very effective way of networking, meeting a lot of people in a short period of time. It’s an effective way to do business.”
One of those transfers was Simon Stehle to 1. FC Saarbrücken from Hannover 96.
The forward made an instant impact and helped the 3. Bundesliga side knock out FC Bayern Munich, Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Mönchengladbach on the way to the DFB-Pokal semi-finals.
“For Simon Stehle, TransferRoom was a great help,” Burkart added. “The market was not that easy last summer for him, because he did not get too many minutes in Hannover, when he played for the first team.
“Then he was loaned out twice in the 3. Bundesliga. He was doing OK, but not super well.
“So it was tough to find a solution for him. We used the TransferRoom Deal Day to pitch him to three or four clubs. In the end, we finalised a good deal to Saarbrücken.
“It was a successful one for all sides: player, club and agency.”
We need to be smart and fast
It’s not just the Summits that are helping B360 Sports build their international reputation and accelerate their transfer market success.
TransferRoom’s online platform gives them instant access to the decision-makers and real-time market intelligence at more than 750 clubs.
So they can know what clubs are looking for, stay updated on their movements and maximise their transfer success with a targeted, data-led approach to meet the clubs’ needs.
“We are a young agency, so we are working our way up and we need to be smart,” Burkart said. “We need to be fast.
“We need to have a good network and grow together with our players as fast as possible, and therefore TransferRoom is a good help.
“It saves a lot of time for myself travelling, meeting good people at one place and using the online platform to be up-to-date about the market. What's going on, what players are needed.”
