TransferRoom
You’ll see a player’s resale value under the financial section of the new player profiles on TransferRoom.
Resale value can provide you with an indication as to whether your investment to sign a player now will be protected over time.
The resale value of a player will be different for each club that views the player’s profile as your club’s squad and playing level is taken into account.
To calculate the resale value of a player, TransferRoom projects how the player’s xTV changes under various scenarios, corresponding to the most important factors driving a player’s xTV. This can include:
- The level of your squad (economic and playing standard). We adjust the xTV based on the difference between your squad and the player’s current squad.
- Playing time. We show the future xTV based on three different playing time scenarios; 30%, 50% and 70% of minutes played for your club.
- Age. xTV declines as a player gets older, so we factor this into our future projections.
- Contract. You can select various contract length options, with the projected xTV declining towards the end of the contract
Developed using real-time insights, our algorithm is constantly updating the metrics that form our resale value calculation, so the prediction is as accurate as possible.
