Wisła Kraków hire ex-coach Ramírez as Sporting Director
by Jonathan Rest

Kiko Ramírez has returned to Polish club Wisła Kraków as Sporting Director until at least the end of the 2022-23 season.

Kiko Ramírez is a person who knows the Polish football market and we hope that his work will respond to the current needs of Wisła Kraków, which he has already proven in the past... We have a busy winter ahead of us, we must be precise in our sporting choices.
Jarosław Królewski
President, Wisła Kraków

Ramírez will be responsible for the transfer policy and for the sports department of the club, which he managed in 2017.

Since leaving Wisła, Ramírez worked for Spanish club CE Sabadell FC, Greece's AO Xanthi and India's Odisha FC.

Jarosław Królewski, President of Wisła Kraków, said: "Kiko Ramírez is a person who knows the Polish football market and we hope that his work will respond to the current needs of Wisła Kraków, which he has already proven in the past... We have a busy winter ahead of us, we must be precise in our sporting choices."

Wisła play in the second-tier I liga, having been relegated from the Ekstraklasa last season. The Polish top-tier is in the first year of a long-term, league-wide agreement with TransferRoom, giving all clubs in the league access to the platform.
