Toulouse FC have started their search for a new Head of Recruitment following the exit of Brendan MacFarlane.
We are delighted to see that our club, particularly through our Recruitment unit, is attracting the interest of the biggest clubs in Europe. The club thanks Brendan for the quality of his work, his investment, his attitude, his passion and his professionalism, and wishes him well great successes in his future projects.
MacFarlane has been with the club for two years, during which time they have secured promotion back to Ligue 1 and been praised for their analytical approach in the transfer market.
MacFarlane, a former France scout for Brentford FC, said he was leaving to "embark on a new opportunity in a European club."
Senior Scout Julia Arpizou will take on the Head of Recruitment role until MacFarlane's successor is found.
Toulouse FC said: "We are delighted to see that our club, particularly through our Recruitment unit, is attracting the interest of the biggest clubs in Europe.
"The club thanks Brendan for the quality of his work, his investment, his attitude, his passion and his professionalism, and wishes him well great successes in his future projects."
In the search for MacFarlane's successor, Toulouse FC have outlined their continued commitment to recruiting talented young players, saying the next Head of Recruitment needs to "work closely with the club’s Head of Academy Recruitment."
Those interested in the vacancy are encouraged to send an email with a CV and cover letter to recrutement.pro@toulousefc.com by March 3.
At Toulouse, MacFarlane worked closely on recruitment and squad planning with President Damien Comolli, a former guest speaker at a TransferRoom Virtual Summit. That interview can be viewed in full here.
