Juan Carlos Cordero has been appointed as the new Sporting Director of Spanish club Real Zaragoza.
With Juan Carlos Cordero, we incorporated into our sports structure a professional with undoubted experience, extensive knowledge of the market and with recognised results in all the projects in which he has been a part of in recent years.
Cordero was officially presented as the Sporting Director this week and has signed a contract until 2025.
He succeeds Miguel Torrecilla, who left the club towards the end of last year.
Cordero is a former Sporting Director of Granada CF, Cadiz and most recently Tenerife.
Zaragoza, which sit in the lower half of the second division, said in a statement: "With Juan Carlos Cordero, we incorporated into our sports structure a professional with undoubted experience, extensive knowledge of the market and with recognised results in all the projects in which he has been a part of in recent years."
Torrecilla was appointed Sporting Director at Zaragoza in December 2020 after joining from Waasland Beveren in Belgium.
