For a buying club that traditionally recruits its limit of five foreign players from Europe and South America, Mamelodi Sundowns cannot afford to make mistakes in the transfer market.
Too often the South African club's scouting department has wasted vital time and money tracking players who either did not want to make the move or who they later found out they could not afford.
“I think in general our scouting department previously has wasted so much time on players that in the end you find out they were not a possibility anyway,” says Sundowns Sporting Director Flemming Berg (pictured left with Chairman Tlhopie Motsepe.
TransferRoom’s search feature enables the club to save valuable time by instantly gaining access to a pool of more than 3,000 available players, which they can then filter down to meet their desired needs.
Berg adds: “TransferRoom gives us a lot of possibilities and knowledge, so we don't waste time. On TransferRoom, you know straight away if a player is available.
“So it makes us a bit more efficient in that scouting work, but also gives us some possibilities to get into some markets that are otherwise difficult to get into.”
