Ivan Mance has been named as the Sporting Director of Turkish club Göztepe SK, following the takeover of their new owners, Sport Republic.
We have hand-picked Ivan to be the new Sporting Director. I am confident he has the experience and the personality to provide strong leadership of the football department of Göztepe, and I very much look forward to working with him
The takeover by multi-club ownership group Sport Republic was confirmed on Friday, making Göztepe their second football club following the acquisition of Premier League side Southampton earlier this year.
Mance left his role as Technical Director at Pafos FC earlier this summer to move to Sport Republic, with his position confirmed following Friday's announcement.
"We have hand-picked Ivan to be the new Sporting Director of Göztepe SK. I am confident he has the experience and the personality to provide strong leadership of the football department of Göztepe, and I very much look forward to working with him," Rasmus Ankersen, the CEO of Sport Republic and the new President of Göztepe, said.
Mance arrives after a landmark season with Pafos. The club achieved its most successful season ever, finishing in the Cypriot Championship play-offs for the first time.
Before that, the former goalkeeper was the Sporting Director at HNK Rijeka in his native Croatia, having been promoted from Scouting Director.
