Manolo Gaspar has left his role as Sporting Director of Malaga CF after three-and-a-half-seasons.
Now the Winter Transfer Window is over, it's time to say goodbye, so that Málaga can continue with different lines of work and can look forward to the future in another way. It’s time for those who succeed me to plan the upcoming transfer markets with sufficient time to do a good job and establish new sporting foundations.
Gaspar announced his exit at a press conference following the end of the Winter Transfer Window in Spain.
Malaga presently sit third from bottom of the Segunda Division.
He said: "Now the Winter Transfer Window is over, it's time to say goodbye, so that Malaga can continue with different lines of work and can look forward to the future in another way. It’s time for those who succeed me to plan the upcoming transfer markets with sufficient time to do a good job and establish new sporting foundations."
The former Malaga player rejoined the club as a Technical Assistant in 2017, and was appointed Sporting Director in late 2019. The club has suffered financial constraints since then.
