How Kaiserslautern are building a global transfer market network
by Jack Hyom

The four-time German Bundesliga Champions now have access to TransferRoom - football's only transfer marketplace - to aid their ambitions of returning to the top flight.

I think that for us clubs it is a really good opportunity to expand our network, to meet other clubs, form philosophies and strategies which we can discuss at the events and most importantly implement them at end of the day.
Enis Hajri
Technical Director, 1. FC Kaiserslautern

Instant access to the global transfer market

For 1. FC Kaiserslautern in Germany, they are pushing hard for a return to Germany’s top flight after dropping down to the 2. Bundesliga in 2012, and to the third tier in 2018.

But they won promotion in 2022 and reached the DFB-Pokal final for the first time in 21 years in 2024, as the narrowly lost out to unbeaten Bundesliga champions Bayer 04 Leverkusen, highlighting their potential to compete with the best.

And to fuel their ambitions of returning to the Bundesliga and staying there, innovating in the transfer market and elevating their transfer business is a key part of their transfer strategy.

That is why they have joined TransferRoom, football’s only transfer marketplace.

They now get direct access to the decision-makers at over 800 clubs in more than 100 leagues worldwide, as well as a network of over 500 Trusted Agencies on TransferRoom’s online platform.

And 100s of those decision-makers meet in one place at TransferRoom’s in-person events, another huge benefit for Kaiserslautern.

“I think that for us clubs it is a really good opportunity to expand our network, to meet other clubs, form philosophies and strategies which we can discuss at the events and most importantly implement them at end of the day,” said Enis Hajri, Kaiserslautern’s Technical Director, at TransferRoom’s Deal Day in Madrid in August.

“We can declare our transfer targets and get instant feedback and move on either way.”

Simon Ankersen, the Director of Football Relations at TransferRoom, said: “We are thrilled to welcome another German club to our platform.

“Kaiserslautern can now get instant access to a huge global network of clubs and agents, and real-time player availability and market intelligence at our online marketplace.”

More than 50 German clubs, including Borussia Dortmund, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, and RB Leipzig, are now using TransferRoom.

TransferRoom hosts 3-4 exclusive in-person Summits annually, attracting hundreds of football clubs and agents from around the world. These events serve as dynamic hubs for networking, deal-making, and forging partnerships within the global football industry.

Register here to get transfers done on a global scale at our next TransferRoom Summit in Istanbul, Türkiye, on 11-12 November and Online on 14 November.
