Colombia's Deportes Tolima have been limited to buying and selling players domestically or across Latin America, despite regularly competing at the top of the country's elite Categoría Primera A division.
But that has now changed.
Tolima now have direct access to decision makers at more than 650 clubs in 100 markets worldwide after becoming members on TransferRoom.
They will also be able to streamline their transfer operations via the digital platform and showcase their players on a global scale, increasing their chances of selling talents to Europe, something that has been very rare for Tolima. And they can get real-time data and player availability to increase their recruitment power in the global market.
Speaking at a recent TransferRoom Summit, club President César Camargo says in the video below: "We joined TransferRoom to have access to a bigger market, to see more players and to have the opportunity to negotiate with them.
"We believe that TransferRoom is a very useful tool for us as a club. We want to make the most of this opportunity, and we are confident that it will help us to find new players and strengthen our team.
"Players also have access to TransferRoom, and they can showcase their abilities to a bigger market. This is good for the player and for the club.
Tolima follow in the footsteps of other Colombian clubs such as Envigado FC, who have joined TransferRoom to give them a greater opportunity to make key player sales directly to European sides.
