The Gainbridge Super League has joined TransferRoom to bring its clubs onto the Women’s Marketplace, with Carolina Ascent, Tampa Bay Sun, Sporting Jacksonville and Brooklyn FC already signed up, boosting global access and recruitment efficiency.
The league’s partnership with TransferRoom is a definitive statement of intent to lead the global women’s game by professionalising its infrastructure to match the talent on the pitch.
Building a more connected women’s football pathway
The Gainbridge Super League has taken a significant step in strengthening its global position by joining TransferRoom, enabling its clubs to join the Women’s Marketplace and connect directly with the international transfer ecosystem.
Based in the United States, the Gainbridge Super League is a Division One professional women’s soccer league, operated by the United Soccer League. The league features nine teams and plays on a fall-to-summer calendar
As part of the agreement, four clubs have already joined the platform:
- Brooklyn FC
- Carolina Ascent FC
- Sporting Club Jacksonville
- Tampa Bay Sun FC
This move reflects the league’s ambition to professionalise its infrastructure and equip clubs with the tools needed to compete in an increasingly global and competitive women’s football landscape.
For Katie Ely, Technical Director of Women’s Pathway at the USL, the decision to join TransferRoom’s new Women’s Marketplace is rooted in both immediate operational benefits and long-term vision.
“The Gainbridge Super League joined TransferRoom’s Women’s Marketplace to enhance how our clubs identify, evaluate, and scout players in an increasingly global and competitive landscape," she said.
"As a league, we aim to equip our clubs with resources to support across all facets of the business.
"As a centralised, trusted marketplace where clubs can access player information, communicate directly with other clubs, and make more informed decisions, TransferRoom can help our clubs optimise their roster creation efforts.”
By giving clubs access to a global network, the partnership expands opportunities not only for teams, but also for players seeking visibility and progression within the professional game.
“This partnership also aligns with our broader vision of building a connected women’s pathway," Ely explains.
"By giving our clubs access to a global network, we are expanding opportunities for players while ensuring our teams can identify professional talent more effectively.”
TransferRoom’s Women’s Marketplace is designed to remove many of the traditional inefficiencies in the transfer process. For USL clubs, that translates into faster, more informed decision-making.
“Clubs will benefit from increased efficiency, visibility, and access in their recruitment and roster-building processes,” says Ely.
“TransferRoom provides a centralised marketplace where clubs can identify, evaluate, and communicate about players in real time.
"This reduces the reliance on fragmented networks and manual processes, allowing staff to save time and focus on making better-informed decisions.”
The platform also significantly expands each club’s reach, opening access to talent far beyond regional scouting networks.
Ely said: “Instead of being limited to existing contacts or regional scouting, clubs gain access to a global network of teams and players, helping them identify talent that fits their specific needs and game model.”

The Gainbridge Super League has made no secret of its ambition to become a global leader in women’s football—both on and off the pitch. Joining TransferRoom's Women's Marketplace is a clear step in that direction.
“The Gainbridge Super League aims to be a global leader in women’s football on and off the field,” says Ely.
“By partnering with organisations like TransferRoom, the league is positioning itself and its clubs as a part of the global ecosystem of women’s soccer, while also supporting local efforts to attract top talent and build competitive rosters.”
"Clubs that embrace tools like this will be better positioned to adapt, compete, and grow in an increasingly global game.
“Ultimately, this isn’t just about transfers, it’s about building infrastructure. And the stronger the infrastructure becomes, the faster and more sustainably the women’s game will continue to grow.”
Claire Rafferty, former England international and now Senior Customer Success Manager at TransferRoom, sees the deal as a defining moment:
"The league’s partnership with TransferRoom is a definitive statement of intent to lead the global women’s game by professionalising its infrastructure to match the talent on the pitch," she explains.
"By providing clubs with direct, real-time access to a global network of decision-makers, the league is bridging the ‘information gap’ and establishing itself as a vital hub in the international transfer ecosystem.”
