Ivan Mance has joined Cypriot club Pafos FC as Technical Director following his departure from HNK Rijeka in his homeland Croatia.
We are very happy and excited that Ivan will join Paphos with a strong background and new ideas. His professionalism and experience will undoubtedly be a great advantage for our team.
Mance (pictured) will have overall responsibility for recruitment and the transfer strategy at the Cypriot First Division club.
Mance, a former goalkeeper, ended his playing career with Rijeka in 2013, after which he became Deputy Sporting Director and Director of Scouting at the club.
In 2019 he was promoted to Sporting Director, and left the club at the end of the 2020-21 season.
During his time involved with recruitment at Rijeka, the club became Croatian champions for the first time in 2017, won four Croatian Cups and qualified four times for the UEFA Europa League group stages.
Mance: "For me, my participation in Pafos is a big challenge and I can't wait to start working in the team every day. It is a project that will be expanded and improved each season. My ambitions are the strongest and together with everyone in the team and with good energy from the city and our fans, we can do amazing things in the future."
Roman Dubov, Co-Owner of Pafos FC, added: "We are very happy and excited that Ivan will join Pafos with a strong background and new ideas. His professionalism and experience will undoubtedly be a great advantage for our team."
Michel Salgado, the former Real Madrid and Spain defender, was appointed Head of Football at Pafos FC in February, but last month he took on a new role as Adviser to the Total Sports Investments Football Group, the ownership group of the Cypriot club.
Mance has been replaced at Rijeka by Robert Palikuća, the former Sports Director of 1. FC Nürnberg in Germany.
Mance has been a TransferRoom user since its launch, with the platform becoming a daily part of his recruitment arsenal.
