Julien Cordonnier has started his new role as Head of Recruitment at FC Sochaux-Montbéliard.
With Julien's arrival, the club intends to continue strengthening and structuring its sports department.
Cordonnier joins the Ligue 2 club from National side LB Châteauroux , where he was Director of Recruitment, and started in the job on 1 February.
Sochaux said: "With Julien's arrival, the club intends to continue strengthening and structuring its sports department."
The 42-year-old joined LB Châteauroux at the beginning of the 2021-22 season from Saint-Etienne where he had been Chief Scout. He is also a former Sporting Director of US Orléans, where he finished his playing career.
At LB Châteauroux, Cordonnier has been succeeded until at least the end of this season by his deputy Osama Hawsawi, a former captain of the Saudi Arabia national team.
Cordonnier said he turned down approaches from Sochaux in 2022, noting: “Last season, they had already contacted me several times, as well as at the start of this season. But I had just taken up my duties at the Berri and I didn't want to leave them so quickly. Things have since accelerated."
