Fast Track to Success: How CD Tenerife Femenino Used TransferRoom to Secure Annahita Zamanian
by Greg Stubley

CD Tenerife Femenino Sporting Director Jordi Torres Palomino explains how TransferRoom’s Women’s Marketplace helped the club solve a late transfer window challenge and complete the permanent signing of Annahita Zamanian from Parma.

Parma got in touch with me within a few hours. We reviewed Annahita’s profile, found that she was a great fit, and everything moved very quickly thanks to the platform's connection.

Finding the right player at the right time

When key players depart near the end of a transfer window, sports directors face a race against time to replace vital quality without compromising their squad strategy.

When CD Tenerife Femenino agreed to the high-profile transfer of key midfielder Natalia Ramos to Women’s Super League side Liverpool, the Spanish club needed an immediate, high-calibre solution on a tight deadline.

To bridge the gap, Tenerife turned to TransferRoom’s new Women’s Marketplace to help a potentially stressful late-window challenge become a swift success story, securing former Juventus and PSG midfielder Annahita Zamanian from Parma Calcio 1913 on a permanent free transfer in a matter of hours.

The move is the latest example of how TransferRoom’s Women’s Marketplace is streamlining international transfers, empowering clubs to react dynamically and build competitive rosters in an increasingly fast-paced global landscape.

By turning to TransferRoom’s Women’s Marketplace, the Spanish side posted an advert outlining their requirements - leading to immediate direct contact with Parma Calcio 1913 within a matter of hours.

The initial connection made through the platform allowed both clubs to assess Zamanian’s profile quickly and execute a permanent free transfer before the window slammed shut.

Jordi Torres Palomino, Sporting Director at CD Tenerife Femenino, explained how the platform proved vital in a high-pressure situation:

“Following Natalia Ramos's departure, we turned to the platform since it was already very late in the transfer window and our options were very limited,” he said.

“Thanks to my advert, Parma got in touch with me within a few hours. We reviewed Annahita’s profile, found that she was a great fit, and everything moved very quickly thanks to the platform's connection.”

Zamanian, a dynamic midfielder with experience across top European leagues, made an immediate transition to life in Spain and has rapidly established herself as a key contributor for Tenerife.

“It was a great move,” Palomino added. “She's a player who is already making an impact with us, and we are really happy with how it turned out.”

The swift acquisition of Zamanian marks another successful outcome for CD Tenerife Femenino using the platform. Earlier in the summer, TransferRoom’s Women’s Marketplace played a central role in facilitating Natalia Ramos’s transfer to Barclays Women's Super League side Liverpool.

Reflecting on how the platform enabled direct dialogue with top-tier decision-makers, Palomino highlighted the impact of direct communication:

“TransferRoom’s Women’s Marketplace helped Liverpool get in touch with me to start conversations around Natalia,” he recalled.

“I was able to speak directly with Liverpool’s Sporting Director and we were able to reach an agreement, so the platform definitely helped start that initial contact.”

WM - Ramos Done Deal

Whether navigating major outbound transfers to Europe's top divisions or executing late inbound moves under tight deadlines, CD Tenerife Femenino’s summer activity demonstrates how real-time connectivity and direct access to global decision-makers are changing how clubs build their squads.

The permanent move of Annahita Zamanian shows how real-time recruitment tools and fast, direct connections on TransferRoom can turn a late-window challenge into an immediate impact on the pitch.
