CD Tenerife Femenino: Women’s Marketplace Will Drive Long-Term Ambition
by Greg Stubley

The Liga F side, who are currently enjoying one of the strongest seasons in their history, are the latest club to join TransferRoom's Women's Marketplace platform.

It’s a game changer. The Women’s Marketplace brings professionalism, visibility, and speed to a level the women’s game has been demanding for a long time.
Jordi Torres Palomino
Sporting Director, CD Tenerife Femenino.

Built on ambition, evolving with purpose

CD Tenerife Femenino have joined the TransferRoom Women’s Marketplace, underlining the club’s commitment to innovation and its desire to compete at a higher level in an increasingly professional women’s game.

Founded in 2013, the club are enjoying one of the strongest periods in their history in Spain’s Liga F.

After finishing 6th last season, the club has made a significant step forward and currently sit 4th, competing just behind Barcelona, Real Madrid and Real Sociedad.

For Sporting Director Jordi Torres Palomino, the decision reflects both the club’s current momentum and its long-term vision.

"I joined the club this season with a clear objective: to bring a modern, ambitious, and forward-thinking approach to the sporting department," he said.

“This is already one of the best seasons in the club’s history - we are currently fourth in Liga F, competing at a very high level.

"But beyond results, what excites me most is the direction we are heading. We are building something ambitious.

"The vision is clear: grow, compete, and position CD Tenerife Femenino among the most respected and progressive clubs in women’s football.”

With that trajectory in mind, joining TransferRoom’s new Women’s Marketplace was a strategic step toward modernising how the club operates in the transfer market.

“Because modern football demands modern tools. As a club with ambition and a clear growth strategy, we cannot rely on outdated processes," he said.

"TransferRoom gives us speed, transparency, and direct access to the market. It allows us to operate at a higher level and compete more intelligently.”

As the women’s game continues to grow, structural challenges around access and visibility remain key barriers for many clubs. For Torres Palomino, this is where the platform delivers immediate value.

“The women’s transfer market has lacked structure and visibility for years. Too many opportunities were lost due to limited access and slow communication.

"TransferRoom changes that completely, it connects clubs instantly and creates a professional, efficient environment where opportunities are no longer missed.”

For CD Tenerife Femenino, the impact goes beyond efficiency—it’s about contributing to the wider evolution of the game.

“It’s a game changer. The Women’s Marketplace brings professionalism, visibility, and speed to a level the women’s game has been demanding for a long time.

"It empowers clubs to make better decisions and gives players the exposure they deserve on a global scale.

“It will raise the standard across the board. More access to talent means more competition, and more competition drives performance. For leagues like ours, it’s an opportunity to accelerate growth and gain international relevance.”

Looking ahead, Torres Palomino sees platforms like TransferRoom playing a defining role in shaping the future of women’s football.

“It will help define it. The future of women’s football is global, connected, and professional and TransferRoom is building exactly that ecosystem. It will open doors, create new pathways, and push the game forward faster than ever.”

And for clubs still considering whether to take the step, his message is clear:

“If you are ambitious, you need to be there. It’s that simple. TransferRoom is not just a platform-it’s where the market is moving.

"For clubs that want to grow, compete, and stay ahead, it’s an essential step.”
