Stathis Tavlaridis has been appointed Sporting Director of AE Larissa, after leaving his role as Chief Scout of fellow Greek club AEK Athens.
PAE AEL announces the inclusion in the organisational chart of the technical leadership of the team, its former footballers, Tasos Venetis and Stathis Tavlaridis.
Tavlaridis (pictured) is part of a double appointment at the second division club, with Larissa also naming Tasos Venetis as Chief Technical Director.
Both men played for AEL, and have signed three-year contracts with the club.
After finishing his playing career in 2017, Venetis was hired as a Technical Director at Corfu-based AO Kassiopi. After that, he coached Odysseus Avlioten and Olympos Garitsas, amateur teams from Corfu.
Tavlaridis will also oversee the scouting department at AEL.
After a playing career in England, France and Greece, Tavlaridis joined AEK as a Youth Team Scout and then eventually Chief Scout for the first team.
There have been a host of changes at AEK in recent months, with Bruno Alves and Radosław Kucharski brought in as Sporting Director and Technical Director, respectively.
Former Technical Director Panagiotis Kone is now Executive Director of the club.
AEK sealed a deal within one month of joining TransferRoom, helping the club to partly recover from the financial impact of Covid-19.
