Nashville SC hand General Manager Jacobs new deal
by Jonathan Rest

Mike Jacobs has signed a new contract to remain as General Manager of Nashville SC in Major League Soccer until 2026.

Mike's commitment, dedication and personality make that a very easy fit with all of us. Mike is thoroughly deserving of this extension to his contract, which will keep him with us for at least another three years.
Ian Ayre
CEO, Nashville SC

Nashville SC debuted in MLS in 2020, but Jacobs joined the club two years earlier when they were in the second-tier USL to begin building the playing squad for the elite North American league.

Nashville SC have been an MLS play-off team in each of the two seasons under Jacob's control, and he has been credited with signing top players Walker Zimmerman and Hany Mukhtar, the club's first designated player, as well overseeing their move into the Geodis Park Stadium.

Nashville SC, fifth in the Eastern Conference at the time of Jacobs' new deal, are also aiming to surpass their highest MLS finish of seventh in 2022.

Jacobs was previously Assistant Technical Director at Sporting Kansas City.

Nashville SC CEO Ian Ayre said: “Mike's commitment, dedication and personality make that a very easy fit with all of us. Mike is thoroughly deserving of this extension to his contract, which will keep him with us for at least another three years.

"I am very pleased for him and his family, he is a well-liked member of our team and also a friend and I look forward to us continuing this incredible journey together.”
