McCarron stays in CFG family as Sporting Director of Lommel SK

James McCarron is the new Sporting Director of Lommel SK, the Belgian side that forms part of the City Football Group portfolio.

McCarron joins Lommel SK from Manchester City, where he had been Head of Sports Science and Medicine for the Women's team for the last three years.

McCarron (pictured) joins the second division club from Manchester City, where he had been Head of Sports Science and Medicine for the Women's team for the last three years.

 

The 35-year-old is a former Elite Performance Manager at the Premier League and Head of Academy Performance at Sunderland.

 

CFG bought Lommel in May 2020 and as well as Manchester City the network also includes: New York City FC (USA), Melbourne City (Australia), Yokohama F Marinos (Japan), Montevideo City Torque (Uruguay), Troyes (France), Girona FC (Spain), Mumbai City FC (India) and Sichuan Jiuniu (China).

 

Early this year, CFG named Mike Green, the former Head of City in the Community, as Lommel CEO.
